The domestique classics.Sometimes in order to achieve a brilliant result it’s enough to develop the idea which was put in the project from the very beginning competently. The decoration of the restaurant created by designer Arsen Tchelidze which is successfully combining old traditions and imperishable love to eternal values with unexpected inventions of witty fantasy allowed to relieve the design of the building from static character of the classics and as the result we receive big and cozy cottage where it is so wonderful to spend some time with friends. A pearl of elite coastal zone in Odessa – the luxury restaurant located on Frantsouzskiy boulevard with marvelous name “Dacha” – in reality the reincarnation of ancient villa the architecture of which is very close to classical style, especially because of specific tectonic details. Belonging of the front to classics is underlined by traditional combination of yellow background with decorative elements of white color. The massive symmetrical columns beautified by elegant volutes demonstrate the rich heritage of Ionic and Doric architecture orders forestalling the entrance to roomy verandah of the restaurant with not big well-dressed tables.
The surrounding landscape is begging for the brush of artist: juicy verdure with bright blue sky on the background, picturesque trees with summer umbrellas under them – the unity with scenery mostly detected the sight of building which was a rich nobility country estate in the past and now is changed into the favorite place to rest for many odessites who feel the unconscious nostalgia.
The interior of the restaurant is more soft and domestic than exterior – the inside attire is completely subjected to the idea of summer cottage, creating the atmosphere where every visitor feels at home. Flowerpots on the window-sills, the home preserves of garden berries and fruits, stiff curtains on the windows are waiving because of the breeze, the tables are covered by lacy table-cloths and the melody of gramophone is carrying away to the good old times.
The inside rooms of “Dacha” are represented by four halls and the bathroom and display the whole harmonically developed space. The halls are accomplished and arranged in unite style with some variations of color and the shape of furniture and accessories. The design of one of the halls is standing out because of the non-typical solution – little balcony in the center forms the second stage of space.
The most part of wooden furniture in the restaurant – tables, buffet, elegant support under a washstand in bathroom are painted white according to the idea of the creator – to combine elite charm of classics with cordial coziness of native dacha. The culmination of the central hall decoration is a snow-white bath which appeared inscrutably in the center of room.
Nearby you can see a symbolical bucket with bottle of champagne inside as a reminder about the verve of noblemen way of living: what if one of the guests will be eager to take a bath in aristocratic foamy drink? |
